Former Barclays CEO Jes Staley banned from UK banking for failing to reveal Epstein ties | CNN Enterprise

James “Jes” Staley, the previous JPMorgan Chase govt who was CEO of Barclays for six years, has been banned from holding senior roles within the UK monetary companies trade for deceptive regulators about his relationship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The Monetary Conduct Authority has determined to effective Staley £1.8 million ($2.2 million) and ban him from holding “a senior administration or vital affect operate” within the trade, the watchdog stated in an announcement Thursday.
